Milltown Partners LLP becomes employee owned

Global advisory firm Milltown Partners LLP announced this week its conversion to employee ownership. The move sees ownership transferred from a partnership to a Trust set up for the benefit of all employees.

Joe Hine and Lauren Hayes of SI Partners advised the shareholders of Milltown Partners LLP on the conversion to employee ownership.

Founded in 2013, by D-J Collins and Paddy Haverson, Milltown Partners works with influential organisations and individuals on communication and public policy challenges that define their reputations. Their clients include ground breaking technology companies and their founders; global businesses and their CEOs; prominent individuals and renowned institutions.

Commenting on the move, CEO Jonathan Lenson said “We told our team that Milltown Partners LLP will soon become an Employee Ownership Trust. Which means that we’re going to go from having 13 brilliant partners, to 100 people who each have a real ownership stake in the business. Whilst employee-owned companies are still pretty rare, particularly in our industry, we have a fundamental belief that companies that remain independent, and share ownership across the team, perform better over the long term.”
